A Retrospect of 2010

As i wind down the last days of preparation for Christmas I begin to look back at this year of my life. I cannot separate my art life from my personal one because it is so intertwined that to do so would diminish one or the other. Because this year has been filled with so many blessings I feel it has poured out onto the canvas. I have spent this last year exploring my creative voice and hopefully taking my art to a new level both in content and in skill. It has opened creative doors for me in a way i couldn't even imagine. And I look forward to the coming year as i continue to explore and dance with this series I call "Vessels". http://www.carolinamoonarts.net/gallery/42911/Vessels/

We have so much to be thankful for, each and every one of us, that to dwell on the challenges of both life and relationships would create a negative energy that is only a waste of our life and the moments that make it up. So my mantra for 2011 will be to focus on the positive like never before and let the negative moments fly past me like a cloud in the sky!!

I thank you all for visiting my blog and for your positive support of this artful journey and wish you only peace and creativity in the New Year!

  1. Was it less than a year ago when you started experimenting with layers? The painting below this post shows that you have mastered that. Like you I've been evaluating 2010 and drawing up plans for 2011. Your paintings seems to convey so much to me even though the style is more abstracted than mine. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with Carolina. Remember that those with an easy journey have nothing interesting to say, so as an artist count your curses as well as your blessings :) A happy new year to you!
